While slightly last minute, I must give you my recommendation for the ultimate Valentine’s Day sipper: Banfi’s Rosa Regale Bracchetto D’Acqui. This lovely red sparkler is the crowning moment for any lover’s celebration.
Let’s start with how beautiful this wine is: lovely raspberry in color with a touch of sparkle or frizzante. The nose is delicate and floral. Roses come to mind as I take-in the intoxicating bouquet.

I am not much of a fan for Valentine’s Day. Cards, candy and flowers – all pushed on the consumer by the big retail-marketing machine. However, there is nothing more romantic than finding that one perfect wine to share with your love. I am here to help you find it.

Some of Europe's oldest cities have been hosting Christmas markets for centuries. Most of these markets begin in the last week of November and run through to Christmas Eve or a day or two before. Open daily, they're most atmospheric at night when the stalls come alive with twinkling fairy lights, children's fairground rides sparkle with colored bulbs, carols fill the air, and it feels almost mandatory to shop under the fuzzy influence of warm, spiced wine.
