Rosa Regale is must for your Valentine's Day

While slightly last minute, I must give you my recommendation for the ultimate Valentine’s Day sipper: Banfi’s Rosa Regale Bracchetto D’Acqui. This lovely red sparkler is the crowning moment for any lover’s celebration.

Let’s start with how beautiful this wine is: lovely raspberry in color with a touch of sparkle or frizzante. The nose is delicate and floral. Roses come to mind as I take-in the intoxicating bouquet.

Every Christmas morning my mother makes mimosas. This year I couldn’t resist but taunt her when she referred to the Cook’s sparkling wine as Champagne. I gently reminded her that only REAL champagne comes from the region of Champagne. And then in her exasperated motherly tone she replied, “Oh, don’t give me that crap, I’ll call it what I want to call it and I call it Champagne.” I had been severely served.

Nothing says the holidays like bubbles. They tickle your nose and brighten your day. On Tuesday, Dec. 16 my friend Lilli Marlene and I will break out some very cool sparkling wines at Maxwell's Speakeasy + Lounge in Tacoma.
